Testing Protocols
Factory
Acceptance Test (FAT)
The Factory Acceptance test phase is a critical phase in any project,
ensuring that your application or system is ‘fit for purpose’ prior to
delivery into your network. Our consultants will verify the required test
effort prior to delivery and can, based on client site, audit the testing
effort performed by the supplier.
System Testing
System testing involves testing every flow of an application in isolation
or to and from its' relevant interfaces. Xybax’s consultants will identify
areas that may require ‘stubs’ and ‘drivers’ to simulate interaction with
other applications if they are not yet available for integration.
Integration Testing
Integration Testing tests the various components of a software environment
to ensure that they communicate correctly. Xybax will base this test phase
on the system flows between each component. If they are not available,
Xybax will perform this by the use of a Reverse Engineering Process.
Functional Testing
Functional Testing involves testing every functional aspect of an
application or system to ensure it complies with the relevant functional
requirements. Xybax will prepare a ‘functional matrix’ to ensure that
every function will be tested sufficiently. This process will also be used
when reviewing existing test documentation, quickly highlighting areas
that would require additional tests. Each functional component will be
given a priority that is agreed with business, in case the testing effort
is ‘squashed’ during the project lifecycle. This way we can ensure that
areas critical to your business are tested first.
